About the Splatter Tent: Created with a vision to make art even more accessible and exciting for anyone, the Mobile Splatter Room offers a unique, immersive painting experience where creativity knows no bounds. The fully enclosed tent includes protective flooring and walls, and each painter is suited in full body coverings complete with goggles and foot booties. With no rules and no pressure, guests can throw, drip, spin and splatter paint freely, making each creation truly one-of-a-kind. The Splatter Tent has brought joy and artistic expression to hundreds of painters, and we are just getting started! About Me: After ten years working behind the scenes as studio manager and on the stage as a painting instructor in the arts entertainment industry, I am thrilled to continue with this venture and to provide a space for creativity and immersive fun. The idea of splatter is that beauty can be found in anything. Beauty is abstract, messy, and colorful. Beauty can be found in ordinary things and created with ordinary objects to release unordinary moments of expression. From organizing the chaos to helping curate the atmosphere, I am excited to reach even more budding artists and create special memories with each and every painter. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where are you located? Splat2Go is a mobile service and all Splatter Tent events are offered at host venues throughout the Denver Metro area. Or book a private event and we will come right to you! Is this indoors or outdoors? The splatter tent is 10’x10’x10’ and can be set up anywhere, indoors or outdoors, with high ceiling clearance. A tarp is provided for flooring and additional flooring protection is available upon request. Is the splatter tent kid-friendly? Yes! Any and all artists of all ages are welcome. How many people can participate? The tent can comfortably host 6 painters at a time. If your party is larger than 6 painters, special accommodations may be made or oftentimes groups will split into smaller groups so they each have a turn in the splatter tent. Do I need to reserve space in advance? Reservations are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome if the space is available. What is the cost? Public events are $30-$40 per painter and usually include a delicious and refreshing beverage from the venue. The cost for private events ranges as it is customizable to your budget, needs and group size. Please email strappydesigns@gmail.com with your ideas and we will see what we can do! What do I wear? The paint is non-toxic, washable, tempera paint and body coverings are always provided. However, accidents do happen - it’s probably best not to wear your all-time favorite outfit when splatter painting. Paint will wash off your skin and hair with soap and water, so no need to worry about becoming permanently tie dye. How long does it take to dry? Depending on how heavy handed of a painter you are, some canvases take longer to dry than others. Typically the canvas will dry in under 30 minutes. Newspaper is provided for transporting wet canvases as needed. I’ve never painted before, is this for me? Yes, yes, YES!
